A Lawrence, Kan. day care was shut down last Thursday (May 27) after an investigation of a report that a 1-year-old boy suffered burns on his legs, ankles and buttocks while under the care of the in-home day care.

Deborah Henning’s license to operate the home daycare with up to 10 children was suspended by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Pending an appeal, her license will remain suspended in an effort to protect children from “Physical abuse or a substantial threat to their health.” If you suspect that your child has suffered abuse or neglect while in a child care facility, call us at 1-877-403-9378 or fill out a free case evaluation to discuss your legal options.
