Seattle day care teacher Curtis Allen Rapp was placed on leave March 2 after a 9-year-old girl reported that he had held her on his lap and tickled her both over and underneath her clothing three different times when she was ages 7 and 8. She told her grandmother he had done the same thing to two other girls at the Small Faces Child Development Center. Those girls confirmed that he had tickled them but denied any form of sexual abuse. Investigations continue The 50-year-old plead not-guilty Tuesday, March 25 to two counts of first-degree child molestation.

Day care officials had no comment, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer story. Children are not always aware of what actions are and are not appropriate and are vulnerable to sexual assault and abuse in child care facilities. Be sure to discuss potential risks with your children and let them know it is safe to tell you if they have been touched inappropriately. If you suspect your child has been a victim of day care abuse, fill out our free case evaluation or call us today to discuss your legal options.
